This appears to be quite the challenge because I look around and people get offended whichever way this topic goes. Oh well , I could care less since it's just my opinion and I believe I can share it. Thanks for reading if you do and feel free to comment..... Here I go :
We live in a world where all we see is the world; empty, sad, sinful preoccupied and worried about all the materials surrounding us. Christians in this world dwell in it and completely forget why they are, why we are. I mean surely we are humans but we all know we don't belong here and just traveling on this train that is life.
Being Christians is not about which denomination you belong to , to which pastor, priest, leader or authority you go to or respond to(which in all cases should be in accord with God through Christ) nor the *church* you attend.
Let's see here talking about *church* : I'm sure for most of us it's a place or building or structure (however you wanna call it) where we go and worship God, honestly, yes but it's not all. Church is the coming together of people to praise and worship God in truth and in spirit and that is the CHURCH.
We are the church not the building !!!
The bride of Christ for whom He died on the cross, sacred wood on which He bled His precious blood so that we could get a second chance at this we call Life , this journey back home where we all belong. This life where we are given a chance to make things right for t=others at all times and in all we do; whether it be in silence, from within, in sadness or joy . Really it doesn't matter which mood you are in but please don't keep a smile from the other that could save his life. We get to breathe another day when some don't.
We walk here looking at the differences, yeah yeah differences here , differences there. What's the point ? Why not similarities ? Yes that's a word i'd like to see more often. Are similarities so bad that we can't address them and be made whole again ? Will Christ's bride ever be made whole ?
People are always talking about this idea of the soul-mate the perfect other to complete them and at first, I honestly considered it then along the way saw the flaw in the process. So why don't we work at being a whole body, a whole person ? I believe that being a complete piece of Art, you are more useful in your totality and can do more and accomplish greater things than before and only then you could be (re-)united to the other one, the missing rib. It's better to be whole than being part of a puzzle. Christ is sitting at the right hand of God our Daddy and He is whole, then why can't His bride just try to be made whole as well and while waiting for His return ? God loves us like crazy.
YES !! God LOVES ... Really ? "LOVE"
This is a word that is misused day in and day out when we let it slip out of our lips without ever understanding its power. We can always try to describe LOVE in our realm without ever getting close to what it means. Let's take a little journey in history avoiding too many details.
So LOVE gave us a prostitute who hid the messengers sent by the Most High to announce the good news, then she heard the news and was transformed from within and outward. Interestingly enough, down the line she married a king named Solomon and in all this insane lineage we got Mary. Oh yes Mary the mother of LOVE, her son JESUS...
LOVE lived amongst us and preached, and grew in wisdom. He walked the earth, walked on water , was on top of the world, spent forty days in the desert, fed thousands. Also along the way healed the sick and wounded, the helpless, gave hope to the hopeless, the blind saw and the mute talked and the deaf heard and they all saw His glory.
It's sad how many rejected LOVE,yet GOD is LOVE
We are not blind, neither mute nor deaf and we still can't see anything(His glory) simply because it appear to be that which we call "love" is far from the reality. We love with our eyes while we should be loving with our heart and soul....
Being human is all we do yet we are just visitors waiting for the train to take us home into Our Father's arms, on this journey we should work at Being Christians.
